In 2015 we were able to give out over 70 Bibles through donations from the States and our Colombian congregation. Our goal this year is to double our giving to be able to pass out 150 Bibles. It costs $15 to buy, pack, and distribute one Bible to a child in need.

Proyecto DAR was started in 2015 as a way for our Colombian church plant and our State side supporters to partner together to reach the poor in our community during the Christmas season. For every $15 donated we purchase a child friendly Spanish Bible. Then our congregation volunteers to wrap them and hand make a card to attach to each Bible. We offer the option for State side givers to write their own card message that we will then translate into Spanish and include with the Bible they donated. We then hand deliver the gifts to children in poor communities in the greater Bogotá area along with an invitation to our church's Christmas services. The purpose of Proyecto DAR is summed up in three Spanish words Dando (Giving), Ayudando (Helping), and Recordando (Remembering). It is a great opportunity to give the Word of God to a child this Christmas, to help them in their need both spiritually and physically, and to remember them in prayer. We pray that through the families we meet this Christmas, we will be able to lead them to Christ and continue to serve them throughout the year in our other ministries.
