The Central American Bible Seminary of Honduras was founded in 1986 in the city of Siguatepeque, on the site of what had been La Americas Academy, a boarding school for missionary children whose parents served throughout Central America. Beginning with only six students, under the direction of missionary Neil Livingston, the seminary has focused on leadership development for the Church in Honduras.

Today, areas of academic training include theology, missions, Christian education, sacred music, pastoral ministry, Christian counseling, youth ministry and biblical languages.
